The film "Mussum, O Filmis" is based on the book "Mussum – a story of Humor and Samba" by Juliano Barreto. The plot unfolds across three distinct phases in the life of Antônio Carlos Bernardes Gomes, known as Mussum. In the first phase, his childhood and natural talent for music are presented, despite his mother's desire to see him as a football player. The second part shows Mussum as an adult, balancing his career in the Air Force with nightly performances in the group "Os Originalis do Samba". He forms his family and keeps his artistic activities secret. In the last phase, Mussum gains prominence on television and is nicknamed Grande Othello, becoming recognized throughout Brazil.
